Geometric Design and Dynamic Analysis of a Compact Cam Reducer

چکیده

In this paper, the compact reducer which can be used as a rigid drive mechanism with high-speed reduction ratio is systematically studied for kinematics and dynamics. The speed determined by number of cam lobes engaged rollers. eccentric rotating conjugate lobe profile synthesized using body transformation method. To characterize input torque based on Newton’s second law, transmission forces resisting driven multi-roller are proportional to arm length each actuating roller found its geometric vector. consideration machining undercutting, limit load, contact stresses, favorable designs achieved adjusting size, turret dimension, eccentricity, size. Together experimental tests, prototype made verify feasibility proposed design procedure investigate kinematic dynamic characteristics ratios, torques, efficiency.
